The Importance of Cholesterol for Your Testosterone & Muscles (video)
Dr. Berg talks about the importance of cholesterol for testosterone and muscles. People who take statins, which block the pathways for cholesterol end up having muscle damage (myopathy), wasting, inflammation (myositis). This is due to the starvation of the raw material - cholesterol to testosterone. Cholesterol is needed for bile production, cell membranes. This shows up in back pain, muscle pain and achiness. Low CoQ10, which is needed for the heart to function. There is much more side-effects from low cholesterol than high cholesterol.
