New FBI Texts: Page Referred to "OUR Task Ahead of Us" After Trumps Election Victory
Newly released text messages between FBI officialsPeter Strzok and Lisa Page are raising more questions about anti-Trump bias at the FBI and Justice Department.
Strzok and Page, who were involved in an extramarital affair, exchanged thousands of texts during thepresidential campaign, transition and first months of the Trump presidency.
After Trump's victory last November, Page texted her paramour, "OMG THIS IS F***ING TERRIFYING."
"Omg, I am so depressed," Strzok replied.
Six days later, Page texted, "God, being here makes me angry. Lots of high fallutin? national security talk. Meanwhile we have OUR task ahead of us."
It is unclear what "OUR task" referred to, but some have suggested it could be related to a textStrzok sent in August alluding to an "insurance policy" in case Trump won the presidency.
"This is just like a mystery. It keeps unfolding and unfolding, and it gets dirtier and dirtier," Fox News contributor Rachel Campos-Duffy said on "Happening Now" on Wednesday.
She noted that the texts also raise questions about former President Obama's interest and involvement in the Hillary Clinton email investigation.
