DOJ Targeting Sanctuary Cities Where Politicians Release Criminal Aliens Onto the Streets

Sarah Isgur Flores, director of public affairs for the Justice Department, appeared on "Fox & Friends" this morning to announce a new crackdown on sanctuary cities.

She explained they have identified 23 jurisdictions that may not be in compliance with federal immigration law.

"We are sending them a document request. And if they don't answer that, we're sending them a subpoena," Flores said.

"These are the jurisdictions that have politicians that release criminal aliens back onto the street."

She said sanctuary cities accepted federal funds with the understanding that they would cooperate with federal law enforcement.

"If we find out you're not complying with federal law, we're taking the tax dollars back," Flores said.
